Thacona margaritacea is een vlinder van de familie Scranciidae. De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Scrancia margaritacea door Max Gaede in een publicatie uit 1928.

De soort komt voor in Gabon en Congo-Kinshasa.
