Sphecotypus birmanicus is een spinnensoort uit de familie van de loopspinnen (Corinnidae).[1]
De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd in 1897 als Myrmecisca birmanica gepubliceerd door Tord Tamerlan Teodor Thorell.
