Polyplacapros is een geslacht van straalvinnige vissen uit de familie van de doosvissen (Aracanidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van het geslacht werd in 1979 gepubliceerd door Eiichi Fujii & Teruya Uyeno.[2]
