Otiorhynchus hystrix is een kever uit de familie van de snuitkevers (Curculionidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld door Leonard Gyllenhal in een publicatie uit 1834.

De soort komt voor in Oostenrijk, Italië, Oekraïne, Slowakije, Hongarije, Servië, Roemenië, Moldavië, Bulgarije, Griekenland, Zuid-Europees Rusland en Azerbeidzjan.
