Lydia Peckham is een in Schotland geboren Nieuw-Zeelands actrice. Ze speelde onder andere de rol van Sona in de 20th Century Studios film Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
Biografie
Peckham groeide op in Edinburgh en aan de westkust van Schotland totdat ze als achtjarige terugkeerde naar haar geboorteland.[3] Twee jaar later speelde Peckham haar eerste rol tijdens het Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival, waarna ze naar Engeland vertrok. Aldaar speelde Peckham de rol van Ariel in De storm in het Old Globe Theatre en Minack Theatre in Cornwall.[4] Voor haar rol in Text won ze meerdere prijzen.[5] Ook had Peckham een rol in de Netflix televisieserie Cowboy Bepop.
In 2022 verkreeg Peckham eerste rol in een Hollywoodfilm door gecast te worden als aap Soona in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.[6] Voor de rol volgde ze een intensieve training om te leren om te bewegen als haar personage.[7] In 2024 werd Peckham gecast in de historische dramafilm Nuremberg.[8] Datzelfde jaar had ze een rol in The Wrecking Club.[9]
In 2025 verkreeg Peckham de rol van Priscilla van Nottingham in de televisieserie Robin Hood.[10]
