Heliothis galatheae is een vlinder uit de familie van de uilen (Noctuidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Leocyma galatheae door Hans Daniel Johan Wallengren in een publicatie uit 1856.

Verspreiding

De soort komt voor in een groot deel van het Afrotropisch gebied waaronder Senegal, Gambia, Mali^[2], Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Kameroen, Centraal-Afrikaanse Republiek, Gabon, Congo-Kinshasa, Soedan, Ethiopië, Oeganda, Kenia, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Angola, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibië, Zuid-Afrika, Eswatini, Lesotho en Oman. Daarnaast komt de soort in India voor.
