Gonotropis dorsalis is een kever uit de familie van de boksnuitkevers (Anthribidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Anthribus dorsalis door Leonard Gyllenhal in een publicatie uit 1813.
De soort komt voor in Europa waaronder Noorwegen, Zweden, Finland, Estland, Letland, Litouwen, Denemarken, Frankrijk, Duitsland, Polen, Wit Rusland, Tsjechië, Oostenrijk, Italië, Oekraïne en Europees Rusland.
