Glyptothorax chimtuipuiensis is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de zuigmeervallen (Sisoridae).^[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 2010 door Anganthoibi & Vishwanath.
