Bagous lutulentus is een kever uit de familie van de snuitkevers (Curculionidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Rhynchaenus lutulentus door Leonard Gyllenhal in een publicatie uit 1813.
De soort komt voor in een groot deel van het Palearctisch gebied waaronder Noorwegen, Zweden, Finland, Denemarken, Verenigd Koninkrijk, Ierland, Nederland, België, Luxemburg, Duitsland, Frankrijk, Zwitserland, Oostenrijk, Spanje, Italië, Estland, Letland, Litouwen, Polen, Wit Rusland, Oekraïne, Tsjechië, Slowakije, Hongarije, Kroatië, Bosnië & Herzegovina, Servië, Roemenië, Montenegro, Albanië, Bulgarije, Griekenland, Europees Rusland, Turkije, Georgië, Iran en Siberië.
