Athletes semialba is een vlinder van de familie van de nachtpauwogen (Saturniidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Gynanisa semialba door Léon Sonthonnax in een publicatie uit 1904.
Verspreiding
De soort komt voor in het Afrotropisch gebied waaronder Congo-Kinshasa, Kenia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibië, Zimbabwe en Zuid-Afrika.

De rups leeft op soorten van de vlinderbloemenfamilie (Fabaceae) waaronder:
