Adafroptilum acutum is een vlinder van de familie van de nachtpauwogen (Saturniidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Afroptilum acutum door Philippe Darge, Stefan Naumann en Ulrich Brosch in een publicatie uit 2003.
De soort komt voor in Malawi.
